hello all and welcome to my blog this is my first and a completely new world to me as ime usualy low tech altho I have recently been introduce in to the world of blogging by a friend
I have some older projects ready to be added and Ime working on some larger and newer projects and will be adding them as well very shortly
WERE IT ALL STARTED :
I have since the age of 10 been looking for so called "junk" to use or make things out of and it has turned in to a great passion [some say illness] of mine to find - save what I can get for free and make functional items and uses for these forgotten bits and bobs
i never enjoyed school or took much interest in it i wanted to be doing proper physical things not paper based and since have taught my self everything i need to know through trial and error i have no special training or been on any courses i just go and do which is why i like to show people what i can do and what just about anyone can do its having the vision and mindset to see through the rust - paint - rot or just dirt
THE FIRST:
one of my first "big projects I can remember is a 15ft dejon speed boat hull I found in a boat yard 1/2 full of soil and growing weeds out over the gunnels I was 12 at the time and wanted a boat
I managed to acquire this for the grand sum of £10 and even got it delivered to my mums house after me spending weeks shovelling out the soil in the summer evenings
after spending months and wombling materials of some very helpful boat building companies I have her back to shape and ready for first launch a day I will always remember for mixed reasons ...
from that day onwards i knew i was hooked on the reuse - repurpose lifestyle and I made it my life's mission to carry on and make use of peoples waste and unwanted items which i have been doing for the past 20 years
a lot of my projects evolve from the original start point mainly depending on what materials I can find or have at the time as i just cant bring my self to buy new mainly because i know if i wait long enough it will appear some have taken years some just hours
please follow me for a journey in to my world of frugalism and basicness and complete enjoyment and the complete unknown
