Here at camp Stig there is something missing- somewhere to reflect to relax to inspire to work
we have a tiny workshop a garden shed and a cluttered garage but these just don't do it so with all the materials I have had for a while I have gone through it all and decided to work on a plan
a plan for a garden cabin, not a square one like you get from a garden centre with straight walls - of smooth finish ime thinking more round house style something I can fill with my workings and one off's and turn in to the ultimate one of kind cosy cabin
it is a plan that has been waiting for the spark to kick it in to gear and it is a recycled grain store that is going to be made in to our garden summerhouse / workshop and with all my projects ime on the hunt for waste materials to build the ultimate cosy cabin - not next to water ime afraid but over looking the water from a distance so nearly there
this will be another evolving project as I find bits and bobs to add character and cosiness
so far I have 1/4 of the materials I need but knowing my projects other obscure items and materials will turn up and it will be added in to the final design - one reason why I like working with waste is you just never know what you will come across and what it will become
the end goal is to build this one for £0 so it is a bit of a challenge to myself but I really do not see it being a big issue although it will add up in time out wombling for what I need
this project ime looking at getting started eirly next year so watch this space
